In the name of God amen. Being in sound mind and having death in view here I
done make my last will and testament after all of my Just debts are paid and
buriall expenses are paid then I give to Mary Twidy my wife one half of
my property both real estate and personal property to her special Benefit. Then
I give one half of the other half to my (mas?) Martha Caroline ilander
and the balance to be equall divided between Tomas B Basnight and
Affie Basnight hear i set my hand and seal this July 22, 1878

Tyrrell County Probate Court A paper writing purporting to be the last will and
Testament of Thomas Twidy Deceased is exhibited for Probate in open Court
by Zachariah Roughton and due execution thereof by the said Thomas
Twidy is proved by the oath examination of T J. Johnson and John T
Sawyer the subscribing witnesses thereto. It is (unreadable) considered by
the Court that the said paper writing and every part thereof is the last will
and testament of said Thos Twidy and the same is ordered to be recorded and
filed.
