This family bible was discovered by Frank Wood, Jr., of Churchland, Virginia, following his mother's death. It had been in the possession of Belle Tweedy O'Donnell, his maternal grandmother and a native of Tyrrell County, until her death when it was passed to his mother. It is in poor condition and includes duplicate pages and information, including family records written on scraps of paper inserted into the bible.
Transcription is by Rhett B. White, great-grandson of Angia Nora Reynolds Tweedy. Entries are transcribed with spellings and punctuation as they appear, however duplicates have been eliminated with transcribed entries selected to provide the most complete information.
