In the name of God Amen I Joseph Van Dik of the county of Terrel and parish of Plimouth being very sick & weak but perfect in memory and mind do make and ordain this my last will and testament Item I give and bequeth to my wife Mary Van Dike the house and lot where in I now live during her life and after her death to fall to my daughter Sary to her and her hears for eaver which is the lot of ground thay joyns Edmund Blout lot near the lot of ground that joyns the of part of the front street from the to the west part of the town and if my two children Carley and Salle Dike shall dy the hole of my lots to fall to my dear beloved wif Mary Van Dike to her and her heires for evere Item I give and bequeth to my son Charles Van Dike the corner lot that joyns the upper cross stree to the west side of the town allso it joyns the lot that my wife Mary Van Dike lives to him and if my son Charles Van Dike dy without heir lawfully got in marig she is then to fall to my daughter Sary Van Dikes and if my daughter Sary Van Dike shall dy without here lawfully begotten of her body then to fall to my dear beloved wife Mary Van Dike to her and her hears for ever Item give and bequth to my daughter Sary Van Dike and Charles Van Dike between them both to them and to them and there heares the land that I bought of Arthur Rhoads for eaver and if they shall dy without hears lawfully begoten from there body on my son Charles in marig the land that I bought the said Arthur Rhoads to fall to my wife Mary Van Dike to her and her heares for ever Item I give and bequeth to my daughter Easter Van Dike one bed and chest the child that he had by Mary Rhoads and if she shall dy without heare lawfully begotten of her body then to fall to Mary who is her mother to her for eaver Item I give and bequethe to my wife Mary Van Dike all the movebel property which I am now possessed with and if she shall dy to fall to my son Charles Van Dike and Sary Van Dike if my two children shall dy be fore my dear be loved wife then they shall all be long to my wif Mary Van Dike to her and her hears for eaver Allso it is my will & appoint my dear wife Mary Van Dike and Harmon Webb Senr. ? to be executors of this my last will & testiment I witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this 15 of October in the year of our lord 1790

Personally appeared George Stauffer in court & made oath on the Holy Evangelists of almighty God that he saw &
heard Joseph Vandyke above named, sign, seal, publish, pronounce & declare the above instrument of writing to
be his last will & testament, and at that time he was of sound, disposing mind & memory and at the same time he saw

January Session 1791
The last will and testament of Joseph Vandyke deceased was exhibited into court by Richard Hoff and proved by the oath of George Stauffer ordered to be recorded.
Ordered that Richard Hoff have leave of administration on the estate of Joseph Vandyke deceased with the will annexed, Harmon Webb Senr. being left by the said deceased (executors to his said last will and testament refuses to qualify) and give bond in 200 pounds George Stauffer & Thomas Harison Junr. securities.
April Session 1791
Ordered that Richard Hoff be appointed guardian to Charles and Sarah Vandyke orphans of Joseph Vandyke deceased and gave bond in 200 pounds John Jordan and Thomas Stubbs Esq. securities.
