In the name of God amen: The twenty th. day of June in the year of our Lord 1765 I Mary Woodland of the County of Tyrrel Being very sick and weak of body but of perfict mind and memory thanks be given to God for the same and calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hands of God that gave it and for my body I recommend it to the Earth to be buried in a Christain like decent manner at the duretion of my Executors nothing but at the General Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God and as touching such worldly Estate whereof it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give and despose of the same in manner and form following that is to say ---
In the first place I give and bequeath to Ann Wheatley daughter of John Wheatley and God daughter to Mary Woodland above named as followeth one red cloak and one green bonnet the sd. Ann Wheatley to receive the above said cloak and bonnet now at present. I likewise give to the said Ann Wheatley one feather beed and furniture the said beed and furniture to be delivered to the sd. Ann Wheatley at the age of twenty one or the day of marrage I likewise do desire that all my wearing close and working tools may be sold at publick sale and the money to be paid to Ann Wheatley at age or the day or marrage as above said I likewise do desire all my debts may be collected and the money to be paid to the above said Ann Wheatley at the age as above said I likewise constitute ordain and appoint Benjamin Gainer my only and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament I do hereby disalow revoak and disannull all and every other former and bequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.

Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions
June Session 1766
Personally appeared James Gainer and on his oath proved the last will and testament of Mary Woodland deceased and saith that she was of disposing mind and memory & that at the same time he saw Mary Gainer & Betty Flood sign as witnesses ordered that the clerk certify the same to the Secretary of the Province that letters issue accordingly.
Personally appeared James Gainer and on his oath qualified executor of the last will and testament of Mary Woodland deceased.
