Dated 8 April 1761
In the name of God amen the eight day of Aprill 1761 I William Whitfill of the parish and County of Tyrell in the
Province above sd. being sick and week in body but of perfect mind and memery thanks be given unto almighty God therefore
calling unto mind the motality of my body and knowing that it is apointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my
last Will and Testement in maner following that is to say prinecapaly and first of all I give and recomend my soul into the
hands of God almighty that gave it and my body I recomend to the earth to be decently buried att the descretion of my
Executors Imprimis I give and bequeth unto my beloved wife Martha Whitfill all my worldly Estate of all sorts to be
at her dispotial so long as she bars the name of Whitfill and after her marieg or death I give and bequeath unto my beloved
son Willis Whitfill my plantation and land belonging to it and the rest my Estate to equily devided between my five
children William Jesse John Winne and Stevin I constitute and apoint my beloved wife Martha Whitfill whole and
sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testement revoking all former Wills and Testements made by me before this seald with
my seal and dated the day and year above mentined

Personally appeared Edward Joyce on on his oath proved the last will and testament of William Whitfield deceased and this deponent saith he was of desposing mind & memory & that he saw William Kinnedy the other subscribing witness sign at the same time.
Personally appeared Martha Whitfield wife of William Whitfield and qualified executrix of the last will and testament of sd. Whitfield by taking the oath appt. by law.
Personaly appeared Martha Whitfield and exhibited an inventory of the estate of William Whitfield decease and proved the same on her oath & on motion ordered filed.
