In the name of God amen I Samll. Whitley being sick in body but of perfect memory and judgement praise to almighty God first recommending my soule to God who gave it do make this my last will and testament in manner following after paying my debts and paying all my funeral charges
Imprimis I give and bequeath all my lands to all my lawfully begotten children to be equally divided between them the maner plantation to be my well beloved wife during her nateral life and my eldest so to have his first chise when divided -------
I give and bequeath all my personal estate to be equally divided between my well beloved wife and all my well beloved children lawfully begotten and my beloved son in law William Archdeacon I conntute and apoint Saml. Whetly & Wm. Kennedy exator of this my last will and testament and revoking all former wills and testements whatsover made by me before the seale of this I do prononce and declar this to be my last will and testament and fixed my seale signed with my hand this 21 day of January 1739.

Temperence Whitley prayed for letters of administration with the will annexed of Saml. Whitley her deceased husband which is granted she giving security as the law directs.
