Wills, James, 1837
Note of account dated 27 Jun 1835 of James Wills showing the purchase of 1 pair of shoes and a dozen flints by George W. Wynne on 19 Mar 1837 for $6.35 and proved by H. S. Sutton.
Writ dated 17 Apr 1837 to arrest the body of George W. Wynne and have him before a Justice of the Peace on the 25th instant to answer the complaint of Malichi Haughton, administrator of James Wills deceased, in a plea of debt by account in the sum of $60. Judgement on 25 Apr 1837 by Silas Davenport for $6.35 plus costs. Writ issued 10 May 1837 to arrest the body of George W. Wynne until he render the amount of the judgement, interest, costs and fees.
Notes dated 2 Jun 1837 from George W. Wynne to P.C. Dudley, Malachi Haughton, administrator of James Wills deceased, franklin F. Fagan & Joseph Hallsey, trading under the firm of F. F. Fagan & Co., Samuel Bond, Messrs. Haughton & Boothe, Richard Howett, Thomas J. Charleton & William Badham, informing him that he will be at court on the 4th Monday in July next and will avail himself of the act of assembly pased in 1822 for the relief of debtors when and where they may attend and cross examine if they think proper.
