Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions
July Session 1799
Ordered that Elizbeth Williams have leave of administration on the estate of Joseph Williams deceased and give bond and security in 300 pounds Samuel Jackson and Thomas Jackson securities and quallifyed according to law.
Ordered the Elizabeth Williams administratrix of Joseph Williams deceased have leave to sell the perishable part of the estate of said deceased and make returns to next court.
October session 1800
The account of sails of the estate of Joseph Williams was returned into open court by Elizabeth Williams administratrix of said Joseph Williams.
The court ordered that Elizabeth Williams administratrix of Joseph Williams deceased should renew her bondsmen suposing the former securities insufficient which she has complied with and gave for security David Cooper and Elisha Belanga in the some of 500 pounds.
Ordered that Elizabeth Williams be allowed the some of twenty four pounds for the support of two children orphans of Joseph Williams deceased per year from the 27th day of October 1798 till the present term total amount 48 pounds to be paid out of the estate of said deceased.
July Session 1803
Ordered that Robert Spence be appointed guardian to Levi Williams and Betsy Williams orphans of Joseph Williams and hath given bond in the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds Michael Best and
Ordered that John Clayton Joseph White and David Cooper Esqr. be appointed to audite the estate of Joseph Williams deceased or a majority of them.
Ordered that Robert Spence have leave to take the property of Len Williams Betsy Williams and Tamer Williams out of the hands of Thomas Jackson he being appointed their guardian. Copy of the inventory and account of sales of the above estate required by the guardian.
October Session 1803
Ordered that Elizabeth Williams be allowed for four years maintaining her daughter Elizabeth Williams at six pounds per year 24 pounds.
Ordered that John A. Patrick Esqr. Joseph White and David Cooper be appointed to audite and settle the estate of Joseph Williams deceased and make return to next court.
October Session 1804
John A. Patrick returned in court the audited accounts of Elizabeth Williams with the estate of Joseph Williams deeased filed.
