William H. BATTLE<\/strong> departed this life, full of years and honors. \u00a0He was undoubtedly one of the purest public men in any age or country, and one of whom our State had just cause to feel proud. \u00a0Elevated to the Bench so far back as 1840 and for so many years prominently before the public, he ever maintained a character of spotless integrity, and unsullied purity.
