March Term 1779
MOSES POOR, age 2 years last August, (son of ELIZABETH POOR) bound until 21 years of age to MOSES POOR SNR. to learn the occupation of Farmer.

December 10, 1778
HANNAH CARTRIGHT, age 6 the first day of July past, orphan daughter of JOSEPH CARTRIGHT deceased; apprenticed to JAMES GRAY until age 18, to learn to sew & spin & other housework necessary for a girl to learn.

July Term 1791
ELIZABETH ADAMS, age 12 years old 10th of January last, orphan daughter of MARGRET ADAMS, bound to JARVIS SMITH until age 18, to learn occupation of spinsterest.

AGATHA ADAMS, age 9 years old January last, orphan daughter of MARGRET ADAMS; bound to JARVIS SMITH until age 18, to learn occupation of spinsterest.

LARKIN BISHOP,(no age indicated) orphan boy (probably son of FRANCIS BISHOP whose estate was inventoried in this same court); apprenticed to RODGER BISHOP until age 21, to learn occupation of farmer.

SARAH BALTRIP, age 14 years, orphan girl; bound to EDMUND DENNY until age 18, to learn occupation of spinster.

February Term 1793
LUCRETIA DURHAM, age 7 years, orphan girl; bound to ROBERT AYERS until age 18, to learn occupation of spinster.

July Term 1793
DOLLY COCKRAM, age 8 years, orphan girl; bound to JOHN BROOSS until age 18, to learn occupation of spinster.

August Term 1794
WILLIS ALLEN, age 15 years, orphan boy; apprenticed on Feb. 7, 1793, to JOHN WHITEHEAD until age 21, to learn occupation of stone mason.

August Term 1795
WILLIAM CRANE, age 16 years old, 17th of last January, orphan boy; apprenticed to WILLIAM PETTY until age 21, to learn occupation of farmer.

LUCY TUCKER to JOHN FITTS, Indenture
State of North Carolina
This Indenture, made the 4th day of November in the year of our Lord One Thousand eight Hundred and Eleven & in the 36t year of the Independence of the said State, between JESSE ROBINETT Esq. Ch'n of Wilkes County Court, & his Successors in office, & JOHN FITTS of s'd County of the other part. Witnesseth, that the said JESSE ROBINETT Esq. Ch'n in pursuance to an Order of the County Court of Wilkes doth put, place & bind unto the said JOHN FITTS an orphan girl named LUCY TUCKER now of the age of Eighteen with the said JNO. FITTS to live after the manner of an Apprentice Servant, untill the said Apprentice shall attain the age of Eighteen years, during all which time the said Apprentice her Master faithfully shall serve his lawfull commands, every where gladly obey, she shall not at any time absent herself from her s'd Master's service without leave, but in all things, as a good & faithfull Servant, shall behave towards her said Master. And the s'd JNO. FITTS doth covenant, promise & agree, to & with the said JESSE ROBINETT Esq. Ch'n that he will teach & instruct, or cause to be taught & instructed, the said Apprentice to learn to read & write, And also the art & mystery of a Spinster. And that he will constantly find & provide for the said Apprentice, during the Term aforesaid sufficient diet, washing, lodging & apparel, fitting for an apprentice; and also all other things necessary, both in sickness & in health.
In witness whereof the parties to these presents have interchangebly set their hands & seals the day & year first above written.

JOHN FITTS to Chairman
Apprentice Security Bond £ 250

We & each of us oblige ourselves, our Heirs &c to pay or cause to be paid unto WILLIAM LENOIR Esq'r, Chairman of the County Court of Wilkes & his Successors in Office the full Sum of two Hundred & Fifty Pounds current money of North Carolina.
Void on condition that JNO. FITTS Esq. shall not remove LUCY TUCKER an Orphan Girl of colour out of Wilkes County and shall deliver said Girl up to the Court when called for by Wilkes County Court. Witness our hands & Seals the 4th day of November A.D. 1811.

*I suspect they meant to say age 8 years.

JAMES ROBERTS, age 9 years, an Orphan boy, apprenticed to WILLIAM FLETCHER, to learn occupation of Farmer, until age 21.

THOMAS TANNER, age 15 years the 16th day of May next, an Orphan boy, apprenticed to JOSHUA SOUTHER, to learn the blacksmith trade, until age 21.
