ISAAC
TEAGUE to WILLIAM HAMPTON- 1811 |
To all to whom these presents may come or
concern, &c, Know ye that for and in consideration of the sum of
four Hundred and twenty-five dollars to me in hand paid, I ISAAC
TEAGUE of the State of North Carolina Wilkes County, do this day
Bargain sell & deliver unto WILLIAM HAMPTON of the County and State
aforesaid one Negro Man by the name of WILL, and I the
said ISAAC TEAGUE do release all claim or claims to said Negro and
do by these presents bind my self my heirs, Executors &
administrators to warrant & for ever defend said Negroe to WILLIAM
HAMPTON his heirs, Executors & administrators forever free & clear
from all incumbrances & claims of any kind from any person or
persons whatever, and do further warrant said Negroe WILL
to be sound & healthy & sensible. In witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand & seal this 8th day of November A.D. 1811. ISAAC TEAGUE Test JOSEPH TEAGUE MAGNESS TEAGUE ("X" his mark)] N.B.
