WHEATLEY to JUDAH TOLIVER- 1818 |
Know all men by these presents that I GEORGE
WHEATLEY Esquire of the County of Wilkes and State of North Carolina
hath bargained sold and delivered in plain open market according to
Law one Negro girl named RACHEL to JUDAH BALTRIP now
by the name of JUDAH TOLIVER of the County and State aforesaid for
the consideration of two hundred dollars paid in hand by the said
JUDAH BALTRIP now JUDAH TOLIVER the receipt whereof I do and will
forever warrant & defend unto her the said JUDAH BALTRIP now JUDAH
TOLIVER to her heirs and assigns from me my heirs and assigns and
from all other persons whatever in testimony whereof I set my hand
