Welcome to the Northampton County, North Carolina GenWeb site. The site co-coordinators are Kenneth Wayne Odom, Jr. and Thomas Elder Davis. Both Ken and Tom were born and grew up in Northampton County and have genealogy research interests centered there. Ken is still a resident of the area and is the proprietor of a land surveying company which operates in Northampton and adjacent counties. He is extremely knowledgeable about early Northampton County property records. Tom left the area as a young adult, currently resides in Gainesville, FL and makes occasional return visits to conduct public record searches, cemetery visits, etc.

The site has recently been redesigned and in the process, all existing site content has been reviewed. The previously existing content remains in place, though some of it has been reorganized. Also, a substantial amount of new content has been added. See the What's New page for an index of the new material.

Anyone who has genealogy related material (e.g. family documents, military records, old photo albums, old church records, etc.) of Northampton County research interest is invited to contact us. The site is only as good as the content it includes.
