The following obituary appeared in the February 23, 1911 issue of The Mebane Leader newspaper. Mr. HOLT was the nephew of the late Governor Thomas L. HOLT. He leaves three daughters and two sons – Misses Louise and Maud, Mrs. Charlie GRANT, Mr. Alex and Eugene HOLT. Services officiated by Rev. F.M. HAWLEY.
