The following obituary appeared in the February 23, 1911 issue of The Mebane Leader newspaper. Mr. HOLT was the nephew of the late Governor Thomas L. HOLT. He leaves three daughters and two sons – Misses Louise and Maud, Mrs. Charlie GRANT, Mr. Alex and Eugene HOLT. Services officiated by Rev. F.M. HAWLEY.
The following appeared in the February 9, 2011 issue of the Mebane Leader. The marriage took place at the home of Mrs. S.K. SCOTT and was officiated by Rev. F.M. HAWLEY. Others involved in the wedding include Mrs. William Kerr SCOTT, Mr. John W. WHITE, and Mrs. John Archie LONG. The groom was the president of the Mebane Iron Bed Co with his products and shopping guide site.
