[Lael] LAIL, daughter of Noah [Lagle/Lael] LAIL and Polly Maria or Mary HOLLAR, was born on 22 December 1879.200,1284,1808 She died on 14 January 1946 at the age of 66 in Catawba County, North Carolina and was buried in St. Peter's Lutheran Church (MO Synod) Cemetery.200

Fred Harold KILLIAN was born on 21 August 1923 in Catawba County, North Carolina. He died on 16 September 2005 at the age of 82 in Community Alternatives Group Home, Hickory, North Carolina. He was buried in St. Peter's Lutheran Church cemetery, north of Conover, Catawba County, NC. His obituary appeared as follows: HICKORY - Fred Harold Killian, 82, a resident of Community Alternatives Group Home of Sixteenth Street, NE, in Hickory, passed away on Friday, Sept. 16, 2005. He was born Aug. 21, 1923, in Catawba County to the late James Monroe and Fannie Lail Killian. He attended St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Conover. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Rosie Jones, Nina Gantt, Sadie Killian, Freda Sigmon and Louise Carpenter; seven brothers, Arville, Vernon, Fredrick, Cecil, Ralph, Vance and Ervin Killian; and a number of nieces and nephews. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Zelma T. Killian of Conover; a brother-in-law, Junius G. Carpenter of Claremont; eight nieces; four nephews; and his extended family, the staff and friends of the Sixteenth Street, NE, Home in Hickory. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19, 2005, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Conover. The Revs. Paul D. Sundbom and Delbert Roth will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Alternatives Group Home, 1740 Sixteenth St., NE, Hickory, N.C. 28601, or Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, N.C. 28658.
