Hazel RUDICILL was born on 25 December 1922 in Burke County, North Carolina. She died on 9 November 2006 at the age of 83 in Grace Hospital, Morganton, Burke Co., North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: CATAWBA - Hazel Rudicill Setzer, 83, of Catawba, died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, at Grace Hospital in Morganton. Born Dec. 25, 1922, in Burke County, she was the daughter of the late Collins Duckworth Rudicill and Jessie Mae Robinson Rudicill Kincaid. She retired from Catawba Valley Finishing Company of Newton and was a member of Center United Methodist Church in Catawba. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Woodrow Setzer; a brother, Jacob Rudicill; a sister, Mary Suttles; and three brothers-in-law, James Suttles, Alexander Powell and Herbert Rector. Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Sam Rudicill and wife, Jean, of Morganton; two sisters, Dorothy Rector of Lenoir and Floy Powell of Morganton; a special first cousin, Clyde Robinson of Catawba; and a number of nieces and nephews. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, at Center United Methodist Church. The Rev. Paula B. Northrup will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
