Hospitalized at Gettysburg: Transferred to hospital at Davids Island, New York Harbor, July 21, 1863. Paroled at Davids Island and transferred to City Point, Virginia, where he was received on September 16, 1863, for exchange. Returned to duty in January-October, 1864. Present or accounted for until captured in hospital at Richmond, Virginia, April 3, 1865. Transferred to the custody of the Federal Provost Marshal on April 14, 1865. No further records. He was confirmed about 1882 in Rev. C. H.
