Ruby Dessa Lorina "Rissa" HERMAN and Adam A. FLOWERS Sr. were married on 18 January 1854 in Catawba County, North Carolina.¹²⁸ by E. Yount, J.P. Adam A. FLOWERS Sr., son of Christopher FLOWERS and Mary MOORE, was born on 11 April 1796 in Pennsylvania.¹²⁹ He died on 17 July 1880 at the age of 84 in Alexander County, North Carolina.¹³⁰ He was buried in Mt. Pisgah Lutheran Church Cemetery, Alexander Co., North Carolina.¹³¹
