2669. Glenn Randolph PROPST was born on 8 December 1929 in Catawba County, North Carolina. He died after December 2004 at the age of 75. His obituary appeared as follows: CLAREMONT - Glenn Randolph Propst, 79, of Claremont, passed away May 22, 2009, at Catawba Valley Medical Center after a period of declining health. Glenn was born Dec. 8, 1929, in Catawba County to the late Carl and Espie Bowman Propst. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Wade and Guy, and two sisters, Helen and Catherine. Glenn was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, was owner of Carolina Insulation and enjoyed hunting in his spare time. Surviving are his wife, Magdalena Garilao Propst of the home; a son, Mark Propst and wife, Barbara, of Taylorsville; two daughters, Patti Fairchild and husband, Donnie, of Boone and Debbie Adams and husband, Larry, of Claremont; two stepdaughters, Mary Grace Powell and husband, Will, of Granite Falls, and Zyrin Palacios of the Philippines; two grandsons, Cody and Logan Propst, both of Taylorsville; a granddaughter, Derica Justice and husband, Ian, of Fuquay-Varina; a great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Sue of Granite Falls; a brother, Darold Propst and wife, Shirley, of Hickory; a sister, Lorene Hefner of Hickory; and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 26, at 4 p.m. at St. Peters Lutheran Church, with Pastor Paul Birner officiating. Interment will follow in Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 to 3:45 p.m. at St. Peters Lutheran Church.
