Sixth Generation

1860. Bessie Alena DALE was born on 1 July 1893 in Burke County, North Carolina. She died on 15 August 1976 at the age of 83. She married Dexter Lane and they lived near her homeplace for some years and then moved to Morganton to be nearer their work where their family grew up. Their children: James, Edgar and Nellie and a son, Joe, who died very young. James has two sons and one daughter, Edgar has two daughters, Barbara and Edna and Nellie married Delmar Branch and has three children: Priscilla, Betty Jean and Kay.
