1868. Joseph Francis DALE was born on 16 September 1905 in Burke County, North Carolina. Joe was a supervisor in the hosiery industry while Bessie was a homemaker and raised the family. Joe is now retired. Their children are: Donald Lee (27 June 1926) first married Margaret Frye (deceased). His second marriage was to Jackie Brown and they live in Wilson, North Carolina where he owns and operates a lumber shop business. Their children by the first marriage are: Janet Kimberly Dale who married Bill Wilkinson of Bethesda, Maryland. She is a registered nurse and has now decided to go into Cancer Research. She is a graduate of UNC-G Donald Lee Jr. is a building contractor in Wilson, N C. They have three daughters, Jo Carol who married Jim Stelele and they have a child; Tommy Lynn married Robert Foley and Dusty Ann who married Daniel Schiefer Jo Carol and Tommy Lynn are school teachers and Dusty is a registered nurse.

Joe Francis married Patricia Moore and they live in Charlotte where he owns and operates the Contracting Printing Company. They have three daughters: Robin, Laura Jane and Emily.

James Darrell was born 28 Nov 1933 and married twice. His first marriage ended in divorce and his second marriage was to Brenda Stephens. James lives in North Wilkesboro where he is a cost accountant. His children are: Ginger Leigh, a rising senior at Appalachian State, Boone, N.C. and Jamie Lynn is a student at Wingate College.
