3952. Ruby Pauline LAIL was born on 11 September 1917 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 24 April 2009 at the age of 91 in Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory, Catawba County, NC. She was buried in St. Peter's Lutheran Church cemetery, north of Conover, Catawba County, NC. Her obituary appeared as follows: Conover - Ruby Pauline Lail Hedrick, 91, of Hickory, died Friday, April 24, 2009, at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born Sept. 11, 1917, in Catawba County, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Bertha Shook Lail. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence A. Hedrick; sisters, Irene Matthews, Frankie Cook, Carrie Holland, Uma Caldwell, Suma Lail, Ruth Shook and Juanita Bolick; and brothers, Charlie Lail and Merl Lail. She is survived by daughters, Doris A. Bolick of Conover and Brenda G. Griffin of Denver, N.C.; grandchildren, Harold Dean London Jr. of Charleston, S.C., and Misty Bolton of Conover; great-granddaughter, Ma'Kla Bolton; and a special friend, Luther Hancock. A Service of Remembrance will be held 4 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2009, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Conover, with the Revs. Paul D. Birner and Matthew Schilling officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. prior to the service at St. Peters Lutheran Church. Ruby Pauline LAIL and Clarence Alvin HEDRICK were married on 17 October 1942. Clarence Alvin HEDRICK was born on 30 June 1912. He died on 23 April 1978 at the age of 65.
