William Harold SETZER and Irene Myrtle HOLLAND were married on 12 October 1939 in Catawba County, North Carolina. Irene Myrtle HOLLAND was born on 25 September 1919 in Braselton, Georgia. She died on 12 March 2010 at the age of 90 in Pallative Care & Hospice of Catawba Valley, Newton, North Carolina. She was buried in Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery, Claremont, NC. Her obituary appeared as follows: CLAREMONT - Irene Myrtle Holland Setzer, 90, of Claremont, passed away Friday, March 12, 2010, at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley. Born Sept. 25, 1919, in Braselton, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Samuel Freeman and Letchter Cooper Holland. Irene was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Claremont. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Harold Setzer; three brothers, Dorsey, Brice and Brazzie Holland; and a sister, Newell Holland. She is survived by two sons, Harvey Setzer and wife, Sandra, of Catawba and Fred Setzer and wife, Vickie, of Skiatook, Okla.; brother, Edward Holland of Claremont; two sisters, Aileen Beal of Maiden and Maerelle Burris of Mount Holly; grandson, Andy Setzer of Denver; and two granddaughters, Julie Payne of Cleveland, Okla., and Shelley Smith of Rowlett, Texas. The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 14, 2010, at 3 p.m. at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Claremont, with the Rev. Ron Lytle officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 2:45 p.m. at the church, prior to the service.
