4611. Etta Mae SETZER was born on 12 July 1918 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 26 September 2010 at the age of 92 in Abernethy Laurels, Newton, North Carolina. She was buried in Mountain View Methodist Church, Claremont, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: CLAREMONT - Etta Mae Hewitt, 92, of Claremont, passed away Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at Abernethy Laurels in Newton. Born July 12, 1918, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Scott Pearl and Carrie Lee Setzer. She was a homemaker and was a member of Mt. View United Methodist Church in Claremont. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Jacob Fred Hewitt; sister, Una Beard; brothers, Oren Setzer, Don R. Setzer, Ford Setzer. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Peggy Hewitt Neely and husband, Eugene Neely, of Gaithersburg, Md., and Pamela D. Hewitt of Germantown, Md.; sons and daughter-in-law, Fred A. Hewitt and wife, Deborah Hewitt, of Destin, Fla., Mark D. Hewitt Sr. of Claremont; sisters, Josephine Thomas of Newton, Alice Buff of Claremont, Christine Devlin of Claremont and Bonnie Cann of Birmingham, Ala.; grandchildren, Elizabeth Alves, Brian Wirdzek, James Abernethy, Alex Abernethy, Aireal Hewitt, Krystalle Hewitt, Mark Hewitt Jr., and Christin Hewitt; stepgrandchildren, Christina Roland and David Roland; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Alves, Phillip Alves, Julia Alves, Kristin Wirdzek, Kimberlee Wirdzek, Mason Abernethy, Grace Abernethy, Christina Abernethy, Isabella Abernethy, Cameron Abernethy, Kaylee Abernethy, Addison Abernethy and Lindsey Thorne; and a stepgreat- grandchild, Kaydence Roland. A service of remembrance will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, at Mt. View United Methodist Church in Claremont. The Rev. Richard Irwin will officiate, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Fred A. Hewitt, James T. Abernethy, Alex Abernethy, Eugene Neely, John Peter Devlin and Colin Keith Devlin. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 29, at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton and again from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. on Thursday at Mt.
