2285. Carrie Lee SETZER was born on 17 September 1898 in Catawba County, North Carolina.²⁵⁰⁶ She died on 14 November 1984 at the age of 86 in Catawba County, North Carolina.²⁵⁰⁷ She was buried in Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery, Claremont, NC.

Carrie Lee SETZER and Scott Pearl SETZER were married on 28 August 1915 in Catawba County, North Carolina. Scott Pearl SETZER, son of William Augustus SETZER and Laura Etta [Hass] HASS, was born on 6 January 1897 in Catawba County, North Carolina.^{1527,1529,2506} He died on 13 November 1971 at the age of 74 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.²⁵⁰⁸ He was buried in Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery, Claremont, NC.

4612	iv.	Don Ruben SETZER was born on 8 December 1920 in Catawba County, North Carolina. He died on 17 August 2008 at the age of 87 in Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, Mooresville, North Carolina. He was buried in United Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Claremont, NC. His obituary appeared as follows: CLAREMONT - Don Ruben Setzer, 87, of Claremont, passed away Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville. Born Dec. 8, 1920, in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Scott P. Setzer and Carrie Lee Setzer. Mr. Setzer was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church in Claremont. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Orin and Ford Setzer, and a sister, Una Beard. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Farmer Setzer of the home; a son, Ryan Setzer and wife, Viki, of Conover; a stepdaughter, Genie McHale and husband, David, of Greensboro; five sisters, Mae Hewitt of Florida, Alice Buff and Christine Devlin of Claremont, Bonnie Cann of Alabama and Josephine Thomas of Newton; and two grandsons, Tristan and Austin Setzer. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, at United Missionary Baptist Church in Claremont, with the Rev. Curtis Hagler officiating. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military graveside honors provided by members of American Legion Post 16. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight, Tuesday, at United Missionary Baptist Church in Claremont. Memorials may be made to United Missionary Baptist Church in Claremont.
