Pinkney Bruce SIGMON, son of Quintus Govan SIGMON and Ava Salena ISENHOUR, was born on 11 September 1886 in Catawba County, North Carolina.^356,507 He died on 12 March 1974 at the age of 87 in Catawba County, North Carolina.⁵⁰⁷ He was buried in St. Peter's Lutheran Church cemetery, north of Conover, Catawba County, NC.

3562	i.	Lucille SIGMON was born on 9 April 1911 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 6 July 2002 at the age of 91 in Lutheran Home West, Hickory, North Carolina. She was buried in Mount Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Conover, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: Mrs. Lucille Hefner, 91, formerly of Charlotte St, Conover, NC died Saturday, July 6, 2002 at the NC Lutheran Home. Born April 9, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Prudie Keller Sigmon. She retired from Catawba County School systems and was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Conover serving as an active member of the women’s group and the XYZ senior group. Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Mernie Hefner and 2 brothers: Charles Bruce and Hugh Sigmon. Survivors Include: A son: Richard L. Hefner of Conover, NC; A daughter and son-in-law: Doris and Dewitt Waters of Hickory, NC; 3 sisters: Linda Sigmon of Conover, NC, Eva Whitener of Hickory, NC, Pinkie Eckard of Conover, NC; 6 Grandchildren: Barclay Hefner, Patricia Killian, Scott Hefner, Michael Waters, David Waters and Melva Grabar; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; A very Special Friend: Betty Spencer of Hickory, NC. The funeral service will be held at 4:00PM on Tuesday, July 9, 2002 at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Conover, NC. The Rev. James Zimmerman, Harold Drum and Kristine Hill will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 8, 2002 from 7-8:30PM at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church. Pallbearers will be the grandsons.
