Grace Nevada HUNSUCKER was born on 21 August 1917 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 24 May 2006 at the age of 88 in Hoopeston Community Memorial Hospital, Hoopeston, Illinois. She was buried in Conover City Cemetery, Conover, Catawba, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: CONOVER - Grace Hunsucker, 88, formerly of Conover, died Wednesday, May 24, 2006, at Hoopeston Community Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 21, 1917, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Pearl Cline Hunsucker. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Conover, where she was active in many of the church organizations and was Treasurer of the Ladies Aid. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers. Survivors include her sisters, Pearlene Kasper of Silver Spring, Md., and Alice Thompson of Potomac, Ill., and numerous nieces and nephews. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 29, 2006, at Concordia Lutheran Church. The Rev. Donald Oldenburg will officiate, and burial will follow in Conover City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 12:45 p.m. on Monday at Concordia. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
