Wilburn Lee TRAVIS, son of James Washington TRAVIS and Amy HUFFMAN, was born on 4 August 1877 in North Carolina.^{283,1845,2156,2157} In 1910 he was an a farm laborer on farm of Freeman J. Huffman in Cline's Township, Catawba County, North Carolina.¹⁸⁴⁵ He died on 1 January 1945 at the age of 67 in Catawba County, North Carolina and was buried in Mount Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Conover, NC.²⁸³

3594	viii.	Clara Elwanda TRAVIS was born on 8 August 1923 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 29 July 2012 at the age of 88 in Pallative Care & Hospice of Catawba Valley, Newton, North Carolina. She was buried in Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Conover, Catawba County, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: Clara Elwanda Travis Lail, 88 of Herman Sipe Rd., Conover died Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley. Born August 8, 1923 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Wilburn Lee Travis & Minnie Delialah Kaylor Travis. Clara was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church. She was retired from Conover Glove. Clara was a devoted wife, mother and grand-mother. A daughter, Janice Story and husband Lewis of Newton; two sons, Roy C. Lail Jr. and wife Libby of Conover and Donnie Lail and wife Nancy “Buffy” of Conover; six grand-children, Ross Lail and wife Pam, James Story, Jr and wife Tammy, Eric Lail and wife Holly, Corey Lail, Jeana Harris and husband Greg and Carla Bell and husband Scott; and four great grand-children, Trevor Harris, James “Trey” Story III, Levi Lail and Taylor Harris survive her. In addition to her husband, the late Roy C. Lail, Sr.; a son, Gary Wayne Lail; two brothers, Glenn Travis and Clifford Travis; six sisters, Myrtle Lowman, Bleaka Reinhardt, Zelda Travis, Rena Hunsucker, Rolean Sigmon and Hazel Houston preceded her in death. The funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church. The Rev. Scott Bollinger will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Ross Lail, James Story, Jr., Greg Harris, Trevor Harris, Scott Bell, Corey Lail and Eric Lail. The family will receive friends from 11-12:45 p.m., immediately prior at the church.
