2435. George Raymond PRICE was born on 22 February 1917 in Alexander County, North Carolina.1224 He died on 11 October 2007 at the age of 90 in Taylorsville, Alexander County, North Carolina. He was buried in Friendship Lutheran Church Cemetery, Taylorsville, Alexander County, NC. His obituary appeared as follows: TAYLORSVILLE - George Raymond Price, 90, of 5348 Teague Town Road, Taylorsville, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007, at his residence after a period of declining health. He was born Feb. 22, 1917, in Alexander County to the late W. Z. Price and Lucy Sipe Price. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed. He was a life member of Friendship Lutheran Church, where he was a former member of the church council. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and retired furniture worker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Leon Price; four brothers, Levi Price, Roy Price, Clifford Price and Willard Price; and a sister, Vertie Eckard. Survivors include his wife, Annie Little Price, to whom he was married for 67 years; three sons, Glenn Price and wife, Evelyn, and Danny Price and wife, Mary, all of Taylorsville, and Stanley Price of Haughton, La.; four daughters, Barbara Teague and husband, Denny, of Taylorsville, Cathy Carroll and husband, Fred, of Nashville, Tenn., and Janet Mitchell and husband, Terry, and Debbie Hefner and husband, Terry, all of Taylorsville; a brother, Jay Lee Price of Stony Point; two sisters, Leona Price and Marie Price, both of Taylorsville; 15 grandchildren; and 12 greatgrandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, at Friendship Lutheran Church by the Revs. Todd Rauscher and Phil Thorsen. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight, Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, at Friendship Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be given to Friendship Lutheran Church Family Life Center, 5300 Church Road, Taylorsville, N.C. 28681 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
