4545. Essie Lee HAGER was born on 10 February 1924 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 4 October 2009 at the age of 85 in Catawba Valley Medical Center, Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina. She was buried in Center Methodist Church Cemetery, Catawba County, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: Catawba - Essie Lee Little, 85, of Catawba, died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, at Catawba Valley Medical Center. She was born Feb. 10, 1924, in Catawba County to the late Jim Hager and Daisy Setzer Hager. Mrs. Little retired from Carolina Glove after 30 years. She was a lifetime active member of Center United Methodist Church, a member of the choir and a Sunday school teacher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rowe Little. Survivors include two sons, Dewey Little and wife, Pat, and Brady Little and wife, Janice, all of Catawba; a granddaughter, Kimberly Burton and husband, John, of Catawba; two grandsons, Joey Little of Marshall, Texas, and Eric Little of Maiden and fiancee, Whitney Stewart; one great-granddaughter, Bailey Burton; two stepgrandsons, Chad and Scott Kaylor; and several stepgrandchildren. A service of remembrance will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009, at Center United Methodist Church in Catawba, with the Rev. Paula B. Northrup officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:45 p.m., prior to the service, at the church. At other times, the family will be at the home of Brady and Janice Little, 1598 Buffalo Shoals Road. Rowe Everette LITTLE, son of David Vernon LITTLE and Lou Ella WARREN, was born on 2 October 1919 in Catawba, Catawba County, North Carolina. He died on 28 August 1960 at the age of 40 in Catawba, Catawba County, North Carolina. He was buried in Catawba Memorial Park, Hickory, Catawba County, NC.
