Born September 22, 1947 in Catawba County, he was the son of, Johnny Andrew Punch, Sr. and Eunice Lail Punch. He was a member of the Board of Directors for Farm Bureau, formerly a member of the Board of Directors with Southern States and a member of the Cattleman’s Association. He was a lifelong member of St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church in Conover and was a charter member of St. Timothy’s Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Robert and Lela Miller Lail and John and Beulah Miller Punch, and a special Aunt, Pearl Lail. Survivors Include: Wife of 37 years: Judy Richardson Punch of the home; Daughter: Andrea Lea Punch of Hickory; Sons and daughter-in-law: Johnny Punch, III and wife Kristyn of Hickory, Robert Punch of Taylorsville; Parents: Johnny Andrew Punch, Sr. and Eunice Lail Punch of Hickory; Sister and brother-in-law: Barbara P. and Jerry Blalock of Claremont; 3 Grandchildren: Jordan Punch, Zachary Punch and Logan Punch; Personal Friends Jeffrey Oxentine and Darlene Hicks.
