Martha SIPE was born on 23 May 1938 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 14 March 2010 at the age of 71 in Conover, Catawba County, North Carolina. She was buried in Conover City Cemetery, Conover, Catawba, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: CONOVER - Martha Sipe Sigmon, 71, of Conover, died Sunday, March 14, 2010, at her residence. She was born May 23, 1938, in Catawba County to the late Earl William Sipe and Beulah Eckard Sipe. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. Mrs. Sigmon is survived by her husband of 54 years, Coy L. Sigmon of the home; son, Timothy Sigmon of Conover; and sisters, Janie Sigmon of Conover and Judy Edwards of Granite Falls. A service of remembrance will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010, in the chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Conover, with the Rev. Michael Kane officiating. Burial will follow in Conover City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
