3459. Netta Elizabeth HEFNER was born on 21 July 1924 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 13 July 2004 at the age of 79 in Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory, Catawba County, NC. She was buried in St. Peter's Lutheran Church cemetery, north of Conover, Catawba County, NC. Her obituary appeared as follows: CONOVER - Netta Elizabeth Hefner Stilwell, 79, of Conover, died Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born July 21, 1924, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Otto and Mamie Elizabeth Coontz Hefner. She retired from Broyhill Furniture and was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Conover. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde W. Stilwell Sr., and brothers, Howard Hefner, Edward Hefner, Harry Hefner and an infant brother and sister. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Violet S. Murphy and husband, Tom, of Newton; a son and daughter-in-law, Clyde W. “Buck” Stilwell Jr. and wife, Domoras, of Conover; a sister, Virginia H. Sigmon of Conover; and a brother, Osbourne Hefner of Conover. A service of remembrance will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2004, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Conover. The Revs. Dave Bluhm and Paul D. Sundbom will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Clyde Winfred "Buck" STILWELL Jr was born on 15 March 1945 in Catawba County, North Carolina. He/she died on 1 June 2007 at the age of 62 in Catawba Valley Medical Center, Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina. He/she was buried in St. Peter's Lutheran Church cemetery, north of Conover, Catawba County, NC. His/her obituary appeared as follows: CONOVER - Clyde "Buck" Winfred Stilwell Jr., 62, of Sawmill Road, Conover, passed away Friday, June 1, 2007, at Catawba Valley Medical Center after a period of declining health. Born March 15, 1945, in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Clyde Winfred Stilwell Sr. and Netta Hefner Stilwell. Mr. Stilwell was a lifetime member of St. Peters Lutheran Church. He retired from Southern Furniture. He is survived by his wife, Domoras "Dee Dee" Stilwell of the home; a son, Gregory Stilwell and wife, Davina, of Taylorsville; grandchildren, Austin Tyler Stilwell and Kylie Maray Stilwell of Taylorsville; and a sister, Violet Murphy and husband, Tommy, of Newton. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2007, at St. Peters Lutheran Church, with the Revs. Paul Birner, Paul Sundbom and Delbert Roth officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Steve Moore, Ted Icard, Trevor Murphy, Chris Sylvester, Eddie Sylvester and Austin Stilwell.
