She died on 6 November 2005 at the age of 67 in Catawba Valley Medical Center, Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina. She was buried in Hopewell Methodist Church Cemetery, Sherrills Ford, Catawba County, NC. Her obituary appeared as follows: DAGENHART, Elizabeth "Lib" CONOVER - Elizabeth "Lib" D. Travis, 67, of Second Street, SE, Conover, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005, at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born Aug. 20, 1938, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Maggie Moss Dagenhart. She retired from Southern Furniture Company after working in the furniture industry for over 39 years and was a devoted member of Hopewell United Methodist Church, Sherrills Ford. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to everyone throughout her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Nasby R. Dagenhart. Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Wilburn "Buster" Travis of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Alisa Hicks of Newton; three grandchildren, Elizabeth M. Hicks of Maiden, and Jonathan N. L. Hicks and Christopher L. Hicks of Newton; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Carolyn and Larry Deal of Newton, Nadine D. Holbrook of Sherrills Ford, and Avis Sessoms and Darlene King of Charlotte; a brother and sister-in-law, George and Trish Dagenhart of Catawba; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Tonita and Charles Dellinger, Tucson, Ariz.; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Eddie and Sue Travis of Newton; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005, at Hopewell United Methodist Church. The Rev. Tamara Wensil will officiate and entombment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Wayne Dagenhart, Michael Dagenhart, Anthony Brumley, Jeff Thornburg, Dave Kiziah and Joe James. Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Hicks and Christopher Hicks. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight, Tuesday, at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton. Memorials may be made to Hopewell United Methodist Church, Vision Fund, 2211 Hopewell Church Road, Sherrills Ford, N.C. 28673.
