49. Joseph TRAFFANSTEDT
(1) was born in 1809 in North Carolina,
probably Lincoln County. reason being the Traffanstedts were not found anywhere
else.
According to Linda Young's Ancestor Chart Joseph was born in 1810 in
S.C. He died in 1854. Notes by Mary Jo Traffanstedt Nance:
I believe that Joseph and Mary Traffanstedt are buried in the Morgan cemetery
at Lebanon in unmarked graves.
According to Linda (McElroy) Young's Ancestor Chart Joseph Traffanstedt was born
1810 S.C.
Mary Jo Traffansted Nance stated, "The first Traffanstedt to migrate
to DeKalb Co., AL was our Joseph, my great-great grandfather, He came from North
Carolina about 1838 with his wife, Mary Morgan and two daughters who were born
in North Carolina. Josephs' wife was the daughter of John Morgan, Sr. His family
came to DeKalb County, AL also."
According to the 1850 Cesus Catherine Travelstrat 51 years old Noah was 22 Joseph
was 19 William 17 Daniel Travelstrert 28 In daniel's family was Salena 32 Franklin

I Joseph Traffenstedt nominate Peter Traffanstätt,Jr. of Catawba Co. my attorny
and agent to execute my portion of the land coming to me from my father Peter
Traffenstat, Sr. from Joseph Travis. This was not in the 1860 census -- just
his wife Mary; James 18 S, Joseph 14 S, Taylor 11 S, Carter 6 S.
He was married
to Mary Ann MORGAN about 1832 in North Carolina. Mary Ann
MORGAN was born in 1813 in NC. She died in 1883 in DeKalb Co., AL. Joseph
TRAFFANSTEDT and Mary Ann MORGAN had the following children:
