McAllister, see Paragraph X), married Alan Cameron. Their

After crossing Murchison Bridge over the Upper Little River, as

Coll McLean, (son of Duncan McLean and Mary McAllister, see
Paragraph XI) married Annie Atkins; Their children were John
Alexander and Richard; Richard died young; John Alexander married
Mary Ann Rowland. Their children were Julius, Rufus, Sallie and
Lonnie.
L.
Neill McLean, (son of Duncan McLean and Mary McAllister, see
Paragraph XI), married Eliza J.Ingraham. their children were John
Archibal, and Duncan Neill.
LI.
Mary J. McLean, (daughter of Duncan McLean and Mary Mc-
Allister, See Paragraph XI), married William Sexton; their children
were Janet Buie, Duncan McLean, Sarah, James Alexander, Archibald,
William and Coll Hector; Janet B.married ----- Long; D.McLean
married Mollie Johnson; and afterwards Kate McLean; Sarah Sexton
married ----- Vestal; James A. Sexton (M.D.) Archibald Sexton,
William Sexton, and Coll Hector Sexton (M.D.) are unmarried, (l870).
LII.
Flora McKethan, (daughter of John McKethan,Jr., and Miss Mc-
Dougald, see Paragraph XII), married Boneberry Coffield. They
removed to Georgia, and of them I know nothing further.
LIII.
Alexander McKethan, (son of John McKethan, Jr.,and Miss Mc-
Dougald, see Paragraph XII), married Elizabeth Geddie. Their
children were Flora, Ann, Mary Catharine, Amanda, Christain, John
and Alexander, (several others died in infancy). Flora married
Jackson Davis; Mary C. married ------ Monroe; Amanda, Christain,
John, and Alexander are unmarried, (l870).
May 16th, 1802. John MacKithen, Jun'r and his spouse Nancy
McDougald
had a son baptized named Alexander (at Bluff).

LIV.
Grizella McKethan,(daughter of John McKethan,Jr., and Marion
Carouth (See Paragraph XII), married Daniel B.Murphy. They had

no children.
I can give no further information of the other McKethan
children, little being known of them after they left N.C.
LV.
Margaret McLeran, (daughter of Neill McLeran and Christain
McKethan, See Paragraph XV) married John Murphy. Their children
were Lizzie Morehead, Jennie, Oscar, and Fannie. Lizzie married
------- Williams.
LVI.
Grizella McLeran, (daughter of Neill McLeran and Christain
McKethan, see Paragraph XV), married James D. McCollum first;
their children were Evander, Alfred Augustus, Mary Eliza, and Laura.
Evander. Alfred Augustus, and Mary E. died unmarried; Laura married
George E. Myrover, of Fayettesville,N.C. James D. McCollum died,
and his widow Grizella afterwards married Martin Jernigan. Their
only living child was John Jernigan.
LVII.
Alfred A.McKethan, (son of Christian McKethan, see Paragraph
XV) married Loveday McAllister. Their children were Hector, Edwin
Turner, and Alfred Augustus; Hector McKethan (Colonel 5lst Regiment
N.C. Troops C.S.A.) died unmarried; Edwin Turner married Janie
Robeson; Alfred Augustus, Jr., married Kate McLaurin; she died, and
he afterwards married Celia Utley.
LVIII.
Reverend Wilson J.McKay, (son of Dr.John W.McKay and Mary
James, see Paragraph XXIII), married Miss Sallie Witherspoon of
Salem (Brick Ch), Sumter County, S.C. Maysville P.O. Their chil-
dren: John Wilson.
LIX.
Sarah Lavinia McKay, (daughter of Dr.John W.McKay and Mary
James, See Paragraph XXIII), married R.M.McIntyre, of Wilmington,
N.C. Their children were John and Mary Wilson. Mary Wilson
married Charles H.Westbrook, of Wilmington, N.C.
LX.
Flora McKay, (daughter of Dr.John W.McKay and Mary James, (See
Paragraph XXIII), was unmarried in l898.

LXI.
Mary Isabella McKay, (daughter of John W. McKay and Mary
James, see Paragraph XXIII), married Theodore Malloy, of Cheraw,
S.C. They have no children.
LXII.
Robert McKay, (son of Dr.John W. McKay and Mary James, see
Paragraph XXIII), was not married in l898; He was made a Deacon
in Cheraw Presbyterian Church in l898.
LXIII.
Alexander McAllister, (the first of the name mentioned in this
genealogy), married Jane Colvin, who was his third wife, (see
statement preceding Paragraph I); their children were Alexander,
Margaret, Hector, Catharine, Ronald and Charles (Twins), Flora,
John, Angus, Mary and Isabella; Alexander married Rachel Smith;
Margaret married Colonel Ben Rogers of S.C. Hector married Maragret
Armstrong first, and Isabella McNeill second; Catharine married
James McNeill; Ronald died unmarried; Charles married Elizabeth
Thames first, and Elizabeth Thames second, his two wives were cousins.
Flora married John Colvin; John died unmarried on the Island of St.
Kits; Angus died in childhood; Mary married Joel Williams; they had
no children; Isabella married William Smith.
No further mention need be made of these. William and Rachel
Smith were brother and sister. Uncle Hugh McLean says that Jane or
Jean Colvin was the third wife of Colonel Alexander McAllister;
that she was born September 20th, 1740, on the vessel that brought
him over. His first wife, Mary McNeill, was buried on the same
voyage.
LXIV.
Alexander McAllister, (son of Alexander McAllister and Jane
Colvin, see Paragraph LXIII), married Rachel Smith. Their children
were Ronald, Charity, Mary Jane, Alexander, Hector, David, Rachel,
Flora, Margaret and Edith Isabella; Ronald died in childhood;
Charity born December 28th, l802, unmarried January 23rd, l889;
since killed; Mary J. married James Williams; Alexander married
Janet McN.McLean, afterwards Emily McDougald; Hector, (Presby-
terian Minister) married Sarah Ann Womack of Va., and died August
8th, l871; David (M.D.) died unmarried in Philadelphia; Rachel
married Samuel Whitaker; Flora died unmarried; Margaret married
James McAllister, her cousin, and died February 5th, l897; Edith
J. died April, l873, unmarried.
LXV.
Margaret McAllister, (daughter of Alexander McAllister and

Jane Colvin, See Paragraph LXIII), married Colonel Ben Rogers of
S.C. Their children were Jane, Elizabeth, Flora, Sarah, Mary
and Catharine. Jane married Colonel Bright Williams; Elizabeth
married Julius Poellnitz; Flora married Robert Campbell; Sarah
married Neidham Smith, (a brother of W and Rachel Smith); Mary
lives (l870) unmarried; Catharine died at the age of l9.
LXVII.
Hector McAllister, (son of Alexander McAllister and Jane
Colvin, see Paragraph LXIII) married Margaret Armstrong. Their
children were Alexander, John, Annie, Jane, and Thomas. Alexander
married Sarah Geddie; John married Phereba Jane Williams; Annie J.
died unmarried, and Thomas died unmarried; Hector McAllister's first
wife died, and he married Isabella McNeill; their children were
Duncan J, Flora, and Loveday. Duncan J. died unmarried; Flora died
unmarried; Loveday married A.A. McKethan.

Catharine McAllister, (daughter of Alexander McAllister and
Jane Colvin, see Paragraph LXIII), married James McNeill;
their children were David, Alexander, Loveday J., Ronald, John,
James, Flora Eliza, and Charles. David married Flora Atkins.
Alexander died unmarried. Loveday J. married Henry R.King, (she
was his second wife; they had no children). Ronald McNeill married
Grizella Gilmore first, and afterwards Sarah Dancer of Columbus,
Georgia; John married Effie McKay; James died in boyhood; Flora
married Henry R.King, (she was his first wife). Charles died un-
married.
LXIX.
Charles McAllister, (son of Alexander McAllister and Jane
Colvin, see Paragraph LXIII) married Elizabeth Thames first. They
had ten children, all of whom died in their childhood. The first
wife of Charles died, and he then married Elizabeth Thames, ( a
cousin of his first wife) Their children were Cornelius, Alexander
C, and Mary Jane. Cornelius died young; Alexander C (Lt.Colonel
C.S.A.) married Addie North; Mary J. married John T.Council.
LXX.
Flora McAllister, (daughter of Alexander McAllister and
Jane Colvin, see Paragrpah LXIII), married John Colvin. Their
children were Alexander, Charles, James, Mary Jane, Henry, William
and Timothy. Alexander married ------ in Alabama; Charles died an
old man unmarried; James (M.D.) died unmarried; Mary J. died in
childhood; William married Flora Shaw; Timothy died unmarried;
(One gradndaughter married Elder James Quincy Cromartie, of Bladen
County, N.C.)
