Directions: Take NC 87 South. Just after crossing Rockfish Creek, turn left onto Butler Nursery Road. Less than a mile turn left onto Gainey Road. Go 1.5 miles then turn left on Owls Head Road. Go to stop sign turn left. Cemetery is on right in woods.
Mary Ann Kirkpatrick wife of Jas. Kirkpatrick Died September 26, 1855 age 61 years (stone is lying flat on ground) Mrs. Amelia Whitfield (lying flat on ground,no dates, stone is broken, pieces missing) Notes: One other stone is also here, appears to be a footstone. No markings on it. Two indentations are visible on ground, other burials are possible. Land owner has placed large stones & rocks to mark the cemetery area.
