Trying to locate the grave site of
Solomon Jones who built the Jones Gap Road..
We believe him to be our Grandfather,
several times removed…
We know his Father is buried in Greenville
County, SC…

Solomon Jones (The Road Builder) is buried on Hebron Mountain in Henderson Co NC. It is a lone grave on property he once owned. There is a housing development there now but the last time I was up there the grave was being cared for.
Looking for the grave of William Taylor Searcy. His wife was Julia Ownbey (Brown Henderson). He was the son of Henry Searcy and Susannah Laughter. There are no records of him past 1908.
