Raeford, July 19.-Malcolm S. McPhaul, 70, a prominent merchant and farmer and a member of one of the leading families 
of this county, died early Monday at his home in Antioch township, Hoke county.

He leaves a widow, four daughters, Misses Telma, Dorothy, Catherine and Mabel McPhaul, and two sons, Malcolm Jr., and 
Douglas McPhaul, all of the home.

He was a deacon in Antioch church for many years, and the body was interred in the cemetery at that church today.
