Elizabeth and Richard Henderson was married to William Lee Alexander
in Salisbury 12th Apr. 1792. Sally their first daughter was born, 30th Feb. 1793, and married Judge Martin. Fanny, second daughter, born 14th Jan. 1795 and married Judge Caldwell. William Julius, first son, born March 28th, 1797. Richard Henderson, second son, born June 1st 1799 Erasmus, third son, born Apr. 5th 1802 died June 1802 Nath'l Washington, fourth son, born 31st July 1803. |

born 26th July 1704 O.S. Mary Womack, born 3rd May, 1708 O.S. were married Jan 1728 O.S. Their first child was born 29th Dec. 1729 O.S. Mary (married to William Farrar) John eldest son born 14th March 1731, O.S. died at Montpelier, Granville, 1799. William second son born 18th March 1733 O.S. in Granville NC died at Boonsborough, Kentucky, 1776 Lucy, second daughter, born 5th March, 1735, married to Bartlette Searcy, removed with her family to Kentucky 1806 or 7. Charles, third son, born 29th March 1737, died at an advanced age in Granville, NC Fourth son, Nathaniel, born 10th Jan. 1739, died about 90 years old. Judith, third daughter, born 6th Feb. 1741, married William ______, removed to Georgia. Agnes, 4th daughter, born 18th Jan 1744 married ______ Womack and removed to Halifax, Virginia. Priscilla fifth daughter, born 20th June 1746, married Pleasant Hart, removed to the West. Sally, sixth daughter, born 15th Mar. 1730(1750?) N.S. at Nut-Bush. married Thomas Lowe by whom she had one child, a son who died in infancy. She afterwards married Thos. Norman and died in Granville at an advanced age. Samuel Henderson married the sister of Judge John Williams' Father. Mrs. Frances Henderson was the daughter of Judge Williams Sister. Judge Leonard Henderson was the son of Betsy Keeling who was half sister of Mrs. Robert Burton who was the only daughter of Judge Williams by the widow Keeling who was the sister of Sen.* (Len) Henley Bullock the Father of Mr. Rd. Bullock. So Mrs. Frances Ridley like wise was a sister of Mrs. Richard Henderson formerly Keeling. |
Richard Henderson, son
of Samuel died 30th Jan. 1785 and buried at his mothers by the side
of his Father on Anderson's swamps Granville Co. Elizabeth his widow
died 15 May 1790 and buried by the side of her husband. Fanny, married to Spruce McCay of Salisbury in 1785 and died in 1792 and buried at the Jersey meeting house in Rowan County, leaving two children Richard Henderson McCay, who survived her but a short time, and her daughter Betsey who married William C. Love in March 1811 and died in 1813 leaving an infant Robert. Richard, son of Richard died in Feb. 1794 unmarried and without issue and is buried with his father and mother. Elizabeth died 30th March 1808 and buried in Family Graveyard of Robert C. Smith by the side of William Lee Alexander, her husband in Cabarrus County. Spruce McCay died Feb 1808 and buried by the side of his wife. William Lee Alexander died 16th March 1806. Leonard Henderson, son of Richard and Elizabeth Henderson died the 13th Aug. 1833 and buried at Montpelier. Frances his wife died 16th Sept. 1845 and buried at Montpelier, by the side of her husband. Richard Bullock their fifth son, died 15th Feb. 1830 and buried by the side of his Father and Mother. John Leonard, their fourth son died Sept.7th 1847 and buried by the side of parents and Brother. Archibald Erskin, their first son died on the 24th of April at 35 minutes after 2 o'clock A.M. 1853 and buried at Mr. Richard Bullock's in Warren County- living and dying every inch an man, Father and Brother to Wm. F. Henderson, a guide and support to his widowed mother and her dependent children. My children revere his memory. (Wm. F. Henderson.) |
Agnes F.E. the beloved wife of Wm. F. Henderson, and daughter of Dr. John and Agnes Hare, departed this life at 1/2 past 4 o'clock P.M. on the 3rd. of July A.D. 1860. |
