LEMUEL TYLER to WILLIAM EVANS-1832

This Indenture made this the 15th day of August in the year of Our
Lord One Thousand eight hundred and thirty two between LEMUEL TYLER
of the County of Granville and State of North Carolina of the one
part WILLIAM EVANS of the County & state aforesaid of the other part
witnesseth that the said LEMMUEL TYLER for and in consideration of
the sum of one hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said
WILLIAM EVANS the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have
granted bargained and sold confirmed and by these presents doth
grant bargain sell and confirm and convey unto the said WILLIAM
EVANS a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the
County of Granville on the waters of Tarr River: Beginning at a
white oak in HARRIS' line on the East side of the branch thence East
150 poles to a black jack in LITTLEJOHN's line thence South said
line 64 poles to a hickory thence West to a hickory on the said
branch thence up the said branch as it meanders to the beginning:
containing by estimation Sixty acres more or less. To have & to hold
the said bargained land and premises with all and singular the
appurtenances every thing in anywise belonging or appurtaining
thereunto. And to the said WILLIAM EVANS his heirs &c forever
against himself his heirs &c and al persons having any lawful claim
thereunto. In testimony whereof the said LEMMUEL TYLER have hereunto
set his hand and affixed his seal this the day & date first above
written.
