This Indenture made the 20th day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & seventy one Between WILLIAM JOHNSON Esqr presiding
Justice in the County of Bute and province aforesaid on behalf of the Justices of the said County and their successors of the one Part & GEORGE
WOOTON of the said County of the other part Witnesseth that the said WILLIAM JOHNSON pursuant to an Order of the said County Court dated February
Court last, And according to the act of Assembly in that case made and provided doth put place and bind unto the said GEORGE WOOTON one MOSES
CAUDLE Orphan of MAR CAUDLE deced Aged five years and three months, at the time of making the aforesaid Order of Court; with the said GEORGE
WOOTEN to live after the manner of an Apprentice and Servant untill the said MOSES CAUDLE shall attain the age of twenty one years, during which
time the said Apprentice his said Master shall Faithfull serve his lawfull Command every where gladly Obey, he shall not at any time absent
himself from his said Masters service without leave, but in all things as a good and fitfull servant shall behave towards his said Master, And the
said Master doth covenant promise and agree to and with the said WILLIAM JOHNSON that he will teach and Instruct or Cause to be taught &
Instructed the said Apprentice in the business of a planter, and that he will constantly find and provide for him sufficient diet Washing Lodging
and Apparel and all other things as well in sickness as in health during the time of his service In Witness whereof the parties to these presents
have Interchangeably set their hands & Seals the day & year first above written.
