Son WILLIAM PERSON to have land on Foster's branch, Lickhole branch, adjoining JOSEPH HARRIS, JOHN EGERTON, WILLIAM PARKS, Reedy Creek. Son THOMAS PERSON to have land on Little Fishing Creek including a mill place where WILLIAM MARCUS is overseer & tract on Butterwood Swamp in Halifax Co. Son BENJAMIN EATON PERSON to have land adjoining that devised to wife and son WILLIAM & Wife's land at her death. Wife to educate WILLIAM, THOMAS, MARY, & BENJAMIN EATON PERSON. Sons to have their part of Estate when 18 years old and daughters when they are 18, or marry. If all three sons die without issue their legacies to revert to THOMAS PERSON, THOMAS EATON, CHARLES RUST EATON, & JOHN FALCON, equally. Executors: Wife MARTHA PERSON, THOMAS PERSON, CHARLES RUST EATON, JOHN FAULCON, THOMAS EATON. Witnesses: JETHRO MOUNGER, MATHEW HARRIS, JOHN FALLCON.
Codicil, dated 25 March 1778. Lands my father gave my now dec'd. brother BENJAMIN PERSON & in case he died without heirs to me & my heirs to be equally divided between my three sons WILLIAM, THOMAS, & BENJAMIN EATON PERSON. Wit: MATTHEW HARRIS, JETHRO MOUNGER, JOHN FAULCON.
