Jmaes Poe Harden/Hardin was born in NC in 1770 and
died in Pike Cty. Ga. in 1851.
Jmaes married (1) Eleanor Davis and (2) Matilda
Richards.
I belive their is a connection between the Wilmot
Egerton Harris and the James Poe Harden lines are
somehow connected.
Wilmot went to Greene Cty Ga and ended up in Pike Cty.
Ga, where he died. James Harden/Hardin went to Greene
Cty. Ga. about 1810 and moved to Pike Cty around 1834.
Any information about a connection between these two men
or about James Harden/Hardin in particular is greatly
appreciated. James is a brickwall of mine.

To those of you who have been looking for VAUGHAN
links, I have a few tidbits. I am unsure if they will
link to anyone but here they are:
My great, great, great grand mother was Lucy B. Vaughan.
She was born October 26, 1799 in Lunenburg
County,Virginia.
She died on July 3, 1855 in Brunswick County, Virginia.
Lucy the daughter of William Vaughan and Elizabeth
Saunders.
Lucy married Turner Saunders December 20, 1820 in
Mecklenburg County, Virginia. I have their marriage
Bible.
Lucy and Turner had the following children:
Mary Eugenia Saunders, Nancy B. Saunders, Martha Ann
Saunders, Beverly Brown Saunder(male),and Susanne
Saunders.
Mary Eugenia Saunders was my great, great grandmother.
She married James Douglas Thomason on May 30, 1855 in
Brunswick County, Virginia. Mary Eugenia and Douglas had
three sons: A. J. Thomason, Edwin Browne Thomason and
James Turner Thomason(died young). Mary Eugenia Saunders
died in childbirth (with Edwin)and Martha Ann, Mary's
sister reared A. J. and Edwin Browne Thomason. James
Douglas Thomason died of injuries in the Battle of
Gettysburg.
A. J. Thomason married Pocahontas Lee Taylor of
Brunswick County, Va. on December 23, 1871. Pocahuntas
was the daughter of Napolean Bonaparte Taylor and Mary
Jane Rawlings of Brunswick County, Va. They had nine
children, one of which was a daughter named Kate Bernice
Thomason.
Kate Bernice Thomason married William Andrew Harris, son
of J.J. Harris and Mary Ann Hardy, in Halifax County in
1906. One of their daughters, Dorothy Elizabeth Harris
married John Fletcher Vincent, son of James Vincent and
Sabella Weaver of Northampton County, NC and Brunwick
County, Va.
Dorothy and Jack (J. F.) were my parents.
Maybe there is a link for someone in all of this.

b. 1867 VA and who died in Warrenton in 1918. His wife
was Rebecca High, who married second to Frank Fayed or
Fayad. The family moved several times between VA

His father's name was Archer Kidd and mother was Mary
Williams. I hope to connect this line to James Kidd,
whose will is in Warren Co, Will Book 16, p. 146. I

Wilker home and are trying to get in placed on the
historic registry.We are looking for information about
the Andreas Wilker family which settled in Warren County
around 1872. He had a 400 acrea farm on Warren Plains
Rd(most commonly known as the Connell or White home) and
numerous other businesses in the area. He and his wife
Elizabeth had 8 children. The eldest son was Leonard Sr.
who lived on Conell Rd and married Sue Martin. They had
1 suriving son Leonard Jr.
Andreas was a member of the Presbyterian church while
other family members belonged to the Warren Plains
Baptist Church

I am researching my family tree for an upcoming
family reunion. I have some family history that is dated
back to 1800's. The family tree starts with Sallie and
Kit Christmas (Uncle Kit) and Malinda Powell. The story
that has been told by our family elders is that Sallie
was Kit Christmas mother, Kit was a slave owner, and
Malinda Powell was one of Kit's slaves that he fathered
a daughter with. Her name was Roberta. Roberta married
Henry Plummer. Together Roberta and Henry had several

Any history or documentation would be helpful. So far I
have been able to find pages from the 1850, 1880, 1890
census listing some of these individuals. Any

James Ruben Davis Sr. Was born in Warren Co in 1898.
His father was Andrew Davis. Andrew was married three
times that I know of now, possible more. By his first
wife he had 2 girls, his second, my gfather James R.
Davis sr. and possible 3rd wife produced 2 boys. In
1924, it is on the marriage certificate of James R Davis
Sr. that his father Andrew Davis and wife Nancy Davis
were in attendence. The wedding took place in Maryland.
James R. Davis Sr. married Margaret Agnus Holehad of
Maryland. It was told by the family that all records of
this Davis line in NC were burned in a church fire but,
I am unable to locate that type of fire in NC through
1925. James R. Davis Sr. was born in Waxhaw NC.
Apparently Waxhaw was on the border and My ggrandfather
and Nancy lived near a small country store with old gas
pumps. The two first daus of Andrew were Elizabeth
(Bessie) and ? any help would be appreciated. For
