THOMAS TAYLOR

In the name of God Amen.

I THOMAS TAYLOR of the County of Pasquotank & Province of N. Carolina being weak in body but of sound mind & perfect memory blessed be for the same and as touching such worldly goods wherewith it hath been pleased God to bless me with in this life I give desire & dispose in manner & form following:

Imprimis: I will that all my just debts be paid & satisfied.

Item: I give & bequath to my Son JAMES TAYLOR the land & plantation called Greens & two negro boys Abram & Frank to him & his heirs for ever.

Item: I give & bequeath to my Son in Law LEM. SAWYER Five shillings procl. money in full of his right in my estate by intermarrying my Daughter MARY.

Item: I give & bequeath to my Son in Law JOHN RICHARDSON one negro boy named Dick to him his heirs & assigns for ever.

Item: I give & bequeath to my Son in Law CALEB NASH Five shillings procl. money in full of his share of my estate in right of his Wife my Daughter PEGGY.

And all the rest of my personal estate I desire to be sold either for ready money or six months credit to discharge my just debts & lastly hereby nominate constitute & appoint my Son WM. TAYLOR whole  & sole executor of this my Last Will and Testament & I do hereby revoak disannul & disallow all other wills by me before made ratifying & confirming this & no other to be my Last Will & Testament In Witness where of I have hereunto set my hand & seal this Fifth Day of Sept. 1771.
