Know all men by these presents that I ANSELM BASS of Person County for & in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to me in hand paid by WILLIAM BAIRD the receipt whereof I hereby acknowledge have bargained sold & delivered & hereby Bargain sell & deliver to the said WILLIAM BAIRD my Negro TINY with her Two children & future increase to have & to hold the said Negroe her children and increase as his own property in times coming & I oblige myself my heirs Executors & Administrators to warrant the property of the above Negroes to the said W'M BAIRD against myself & against the claims of all mortals whatever.
Witness my hand & seal this seventeenth day of February Eighteen hundred & four.

This Indenture made this twenty seventh day of January one Thousand eight hundred & Seven between SAMUEL BLACK of the County of Person & State of North Carolina of the first part ALEXANDER CUNINGHAM & RICHARD CERNAL of the said County of Person of the Second & third part witnesseth that whereas the above named SAMUEL BLACK is justly indebted to the said ALEXANDER CUNINGHAM in the sum of One Hundred & Eight pounds Nine Shillings Virginia money and wheras the said SAMUEL BLACK for the better securing the payment of the said debt hath agreed to convey unto the said RICHARD CERNAL the following property viz, four Negroes NED, DINAH & her two children GREEN & MILLY together with all the future increase of the said DINAH. In trust for theat purpose now this Indenture witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to him in hand paid by the said RICHARD CERNAL the receipt whereof he the said SAMUEL BLACK doth hereby acknowledge doth acquit release & discharge the said RICHARD CERNAL his Heirs Executors Administrators & assigns forever by these presents he the said SAMUEL BLACK hath granted bargained sold aliened released enfeoffed & confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, release & confirm unto the said RICHARD CERNAL the following property vizt, four Negroe slaves of the names of NED, DINAH & her two children GREEN & MILLY to have & to hold the said property above mentioned unto the said RICHARD CERNAL with every part & parcel thereof to the only proper use & behoof of him the said RICHARD CERNAL his Heirs & Assigns forever Witnesseth upon the Special Trust & confidence and to the use intent & purpose following and no other whatever that is to say for raising the said sum of one Hundred and eight pounds nine shillings money aforesaid with legal interest thereon by the first day of May next & in case payment is not made by that day that then & in that case the said RICHARD CERNAL his Heirs & Assigns shall sell for ready money the said slaves viz NED, DINAH & her Two Children GREEN & MILLY to raise the sum of money aforesaid with legal Interest & all costs and charges attending this have such sale to be made at the present stockhouse of the said ALEXANDER CUNINGHAM after the expiration of the period aforesaid and the money arising therefrom pay to the said ALEXANDER CUNINGHAM so far as is necessary to satisfy his debt interest and costs...

This Indenture made & entered into between LOWRY BOOKER of the County of Person & State of North Carolina of the one part & JOHN OGILBY SEN'R & THOMAS J. MOORE of the said County & State of the other part Witnesseth that the said LOWRY BOOKER for & in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred & Seventy Seven pounds Six shillings Virginia money to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge Hath granted bargained & sold & by these presents doth grant bargain & sell unto the said JOHN OGILBY SEN'R & THOMAS J. MOORE their heirs & assigns forever the following Negroes (viz) SAM, DELPHY, CHRISTIAN, LUCY & SUCKY & their future increase also a tract of land lying in the County of Charlotte & State of Virginia containing by estimation three hundred & thirty four acres more or less adjoining the lands of GEORGE BARNES, JOHN BLANKS, & WILLIAM BOOKER, upon trust. That the said LOWRY BOOKER shall on or before the last day of March next pay or cause to be paid to a certain HUGH WILLIE of the County of Charlotte & State of Virginia the amount of a bond given by said LOWRY BOOKER with said JOHN OGILBY SENIOR security the sum of two hundred & seventy seven pounds six shillings Virginia money with Interest from this date. But provided the said LOWRY BOOKER should not pay the afore mentioned sum to HUGH WILLIE on or before the said last day of March then & in that case the said THOMAS J. MOORE so soon as he shall be directed by the said JOHN OGILBY SENIOR or LOWRY BOOKER shall proceed to sell to the highest bidder the said Negroes SAM, DELPHY, CHRISTIAN, LUCY & SUCKY also the said tract of land lying in the County of Charlotte & State of Virginia or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to discharge the debt interest & cost attending the same after giving ten days previous notice at the Courthouse of said County & two other publick places. The said LOWRY BOOKER binding himself his heirs, Executors &c to defend the right & title to the said Negroes and their Increase together with the aforementioned tract of land, at the same time relinquishing all his right title & Interest to the said property for the purpose before mentioned, the said THOMAS J. MOORE binding himself to refund to the said LOWRY BOOKER the surplus if any remains after said sale should it take place. As witness our hands and seals this Twentieth day of December Eighteen Hundred & Six.

To all people unto whom these presents shall come I NICHOLAS BURCH of Caswell County and State of North Carolina send greeting, Know ye that I the said NICOLAS BURCH for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which I have and bear unto my beloved Nephew JOHN FARQUAHAR and NANCY FARQUHAR his wife of Person County and State aforesaid and for divers other good causes and considerations me hereunto moving have given and granted and by these presents do give and grant unto the sd JOHN FARQUHAR and NANCY FARQUHAR one Negro girl named GINNEY to have hold and enjoy all and singular the sd Negro girl and personal Estate aforesaid unto the said JOHN FARQUHAR and NANCY FARQUAHAR his executors administrators and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of him the said JOHN FARQUHAR & NANCY FARQUHAR his Executors administrators and assigns forever. And I the said NICOLAS BURCH and singular the aforesaid Negro to the said JOHN FARQUAHAR and NANCY FARQUHAR his Executors administrators and assigns against all persons whatsoever shall and with warrant & forever defend by these presents in witnss whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 24th day of March 1817.

Have sold bargained for and delivered unto the said ALEX'R CUNNINGHAM his Heirs &c the following Negroes to wit, JUDA about twenty five years of age & her child MARY about eight years of age & I hereby oblige myself my heirs &c to warrant & defend the right & title of the above named Negroes together with their future increase against the claim or claims of myself my heirs &c and every other person whatsoever. Know all men by these presents that I JAMES PATTERSON of the county of Person in the State of North Carolina for in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred and Twenty Eight dollars to me in hand paid before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whare of I do hereby acknowlege, Hath given granted bargained & sold and delivered by the presents do give grant bargain & sell unto the said DAVID INGLE a certain Negro Boy by the name of PETER aged Eight or Nine years of age I do by these presents do warrent & agree to Warrent & defend the right & Title of said Negro from the lawfull claims of Every person claiming or to claim the same. In Testamoney whare of I the said JAMES PATTERSON have here unto set my hand and seal this 20 of July 1827 & I the said PATTERSON do warrent the said Negro Boy to be sound and helthy Whare of I set my hand and seal the day and date above written.
