Job Warrick Sr.
Job Warrick Sr. settled in Wayne County prior to 1840 near what is now the community of Grantham. His oldest two children were born in Duplin County, his son William was born in 1832 in Sampson County, and his daughter Nancy was born in Wayne County in 1834. The 1840 census shows Job lived in Buck Swamp District. The 1860 census indicates he was born in Virginia, his home was Cross Roads, and Post Office was Falling Creek. Job was likely born just across the Northampton County, NC line.
