3345. Mildred SIGMON was born on 16 August 1914 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 21 April 2006 at the age of 91 in Valley Nursing Center, Taylorsville, North Carolina. She was buried in Claremont City Cemetery, Claremont, NC (St. Marks & Calvary Luth.). Her obituary appeared as follows: CLAREMONT - Mildred Sigmon Hoke, 91, of Bunker Hill School Road, Claremont, died Friday, April 21, 2006, at Valley Nursing Center in Taylorsville. Born Aug. 16, 1914, in Catawba County, she was a daughter of the late John Sidney Sigmon and Lillie Mae Sigmon. She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Claremont. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Everette Hoke; a son, William Hoke; and two brothers, Hugh Sigmon and Elmer Sigmon Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, JoAnn Kornegay and husband, Avery, and Betty Powell and husband, Gary, all of Claremont, and Rita Self and husband, Fred, of Charlotte; a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby L. Sigmon and wife, Kathy, of Bethlehem; three sisters, Ruby Hoke, Hazel Setzer and Christine Stewart of Claremont; two brothers, Carl H. Sigmon and Johnny Sigmon of Claremont; three grandchildren, Tracy K. Martin, Donna S. Wellmon and David E. Sigmon; and four great-grandchildren, Jayme Foster, Allyson Martin, Alexander Wellmon and Jackson Wellmon. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2006, at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. Scott Bollinger and Vicar Jason Lee will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Drum Funeral Home in Conover. MOSER, was born on 10 September 1910 in Catawba County, North Carolina. He died on 3 March 2005 at the age of 94 in Lutheran Home West, Hickory, North Carolina. He was buried in Claremont City Cemetery, Claremont, NC (St. Marks & Calvary Luth.). CLAREMONT - Clyde E. “Ebb” Hoke, 94, of Bunker Hill School Road, Claremont, died Thursday, March 3, 2005, at Lutheran Home-Hickory West. Born Sept. 10, 1910, in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Avery Maxwell and Minnie Moser Hoke. He was a member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Claremont and a former member of the Lutheran Brotherhood and the Claremont Lions Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Hoke; three sisters, Ollie Morrow, Zoie Warren and Mary Huffman; and six brothers, Fred Hoke, Phil Hoke, Earl Hoke, Walter Hoke, Eugene Hoke and Johnson Hoke. Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Mildred S. Hoke of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, JoAnn and Avery Kornegay and Betty and Gary Powell of Claremont and Rita and Fred Self of Charlotte; a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby L. and Kathy Sigmon of Bethlehem; five grandchildren, Tracy Martin, Donna S. Wellmon, David E. Sigmon, Emily Sigmon and Kevin Sigmon; and five great-grandchildren, Jayme Foster, Allyson Martin, Alexander Wellmon, Amanda Sigmon and Jessica Sigmon. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2005, at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Revs. Scott Bollinger, Jim Stephenson and Stanley Stiver will officiate.
