2. Matthew WILSON Jr. was born about 1745 [1790 Federal Census] and died before Jan 1817 in Lincoln (Catawba) Co., North Carolina. His will was signed on 1 Jul 1816 and his estate was probated in Jan 1817 in Lincoln Co., North Carolina [photocopy in possession of Lynn Pritchett]. He had known service in the Revolutionary War.

He was married to Sarah ORTON on 6 May 1772.⁽¹⁾ Matthew WILSON Jr. and Sarah ORTON had the following children:
